Christmas Time

Hello reader thanks for stopping by and reading. It is Christmas Eve and the holiday times has flown by. Recently in our church I preached a series on the distractions of Christmas. Now I can go on a tangent about how evil Christmas is because of its pagan background. However, I have learned in my walk with Christ that much of what God calls good the devil and his host influence for bad.

Christmas is one of the holiday's where I believe, believers should shine the most. It is a time for the celebration of the birth of our lord and savior JESUS CHRIST, but more than that it is the beginning of the restoration of a fallen creation. Christmas sometimes tends to have two points of view from many Christians. One that Christmas is evil, and pagan worship, and therefore needs to be limited. The other is that Christmas is solely a holiday to celebrate Jesus birth, and only his birth.

Personally, I believe this is a time to thank God for his gift of salvation on the rugged cross for all OUR sins. Christmas is not just the nativity scene, but a reminder once again of the price of sin, but also the eternal purpose of our walk in Christ. What better time to share the true meaning of Christmas with someone. Christmas is a perfect time to share the forgiveness of sin, and the hope of eternal life.

Please enjoy a video from our fellowship mother church, which might explain this a little better in a comical way. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
