True Compassion

Hello Reader,

Today I want to write on the issue of compassion. I recently read an article in the news of a child who was neglected and abused. Everything inside me stirred with anger, and sadness, but deep inside there was compassion.

How did the child feel? How scarred and distressed was he? Its easier for someone to understand, when one has gone through it. I understood. There was a level of compassion in my heart, so much I had a dream of the child.

Everything in my heart longed to save the child in my dream, but only to be met with an obstacle. After awaking from my dream I told my wife I wish I could save all the children in the world from hurt and pain.

This gave me a revelation. This is what the Lord Jesus Christ felt when he said in Matthew 9:36 :

"Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd."

The word of God tells us he saw humanity, for what it is without Christ, broken, sad, and only trying to find happiness. Sadly many of the methods humanity uses to fill the void in their heart only leads them down a life of emptiness.

Many will put an emphasis in career, or money to resolve life's issues, only to one day grow old with the same thing that drove them, hope for Joy.

Reality is that we are all broken people.

Honda is a great company (bias opinion). Honda will know their vehicles better than anyone else. They can troubleshoot a Honda better than anyone else. Same with men and women who have a creator, GOD.

No one knows the heart of man better than God. 1 kings 8:39. So the best thing to do is submit, and enter a relationship with Jesus Christ who can direct our lives, to a life of rejoicing.

Maybe that is you, and today can be the day. Simply repeat this prayer:

Lord Jesus come into my life, forgive me of my sins. I desperately need your help. I need joy in my heart. Change me lord and take away my hurt and pain. Write my name in the book of life. From this day forward I will do my best to live for you.

If you prayed that prayer and meant it, the bible tells us he who calls on the name of the lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13.
